The Garz & Fricke Group will be present at this year's embedded world 2021 DIGITAL with its three companies Garz & Fricke, Keith & Koep and e-GITS. As a leading provider of embedded technologies and the corresponding software solutions, the group of companies will present its comprehensive range of products and services for ARM-based technologies. In exclusive round tables, the group's specialists will discuss current embedded topics such as requirements for BSPs (Board Support Package), possibilities and opportunities for combining up-to-date Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and MDB payment systems, as well as backgrounds of different development approaches. All participants of embedded world 2021 will also have the opportunity to contact the sales team of Garz & Fricke Group via chat/video chat.
The Garz & Fricke Group presents itself at embedded world 2021 DIGITAL as one of the most important system providers with one of the largest product and service portfolio for ARM-based embedded technologies in Europe. From Single Board Computers for ready-to-use HMIs from Garz & Fricke, to flexible System On-Modules (SOMs) for demanding interface and form factor requirements from Keith & Koep, to final application development from e-GITS: customers always receive the suitable embedded solution for their requirements from a single source.
Product highlights at embedded world 2021
A focus topic of the Garz & Fricke Group at embedded world 2021 DIGITAL is the system approach for payment solutions in the classic vending sector. Solutions for contactless payment with the girocard will be featured. The Garz & Fricke Group combines touch-based HMIs with modern MDB payment systems and also offers its customers corresponding software development.
Another highlight is the newly developed SBCSOM solution from Group company Keith & Koep. With this world innovation, the embedded specialist closes the gap between Single Board Computer (SBC) and System on Module (SOM). The SBCSOM is a symbiosis of SBC and SOM. This product has both a processor module and slots like a SOM, but does not require an additional baseboard. The advantage over a classic SOM solution is that it is ready for immediate use. This saves time and costs during development. The new SBCSOM is now going into series production and is also available immediately as an evaluation kit.
With the product innovation TANARO 7.0 BX PCT, the Garz & Fricke Group has expanded its portfolio with another HMI solution. The TANARO 7.0 BX PCT is the first HMI based on the new TANARO board from Garz & Fricke. The seven-inch panel mount HMI in a robust design has been especially designed for applications with high performance requirements. Equipped with the latest processor generation (NXP i.MX 8M Mini ARM Cortex-A53), the solution is suitable for user interaction as well as control tasks. The display has a capacitive touchscreen for user interaction and offers a particularly high resolution of 1024x600 pixels. This fully integrated HMI solution in panel-mount format can be used both for user interaction in the actual end application and for central control. The integrated MIPI-CSI camera interface also offers the option of integrating camera solutions. This also allows applications such as image processing and evaluation to be implemented without any problems. The implemented board is the result of a joint product development by Garz & Fricke and its sister company Keith & Koep, processor module specialists from Wuppertal.
Furthermore, the Garz & Fricke Group will present its solutions in the embedded software ecosystem at the digital exhibition. Elements are, for example, Over the air update (OTA) or the innovative Remote Touch System (RTS) for the operation of HMIs via smartphone. The core element for this is the Device & Application Management System (DAMS) from e-GITS. This is a platform that offers seamless integration of device and application data and enables efficient device management. The system enables Garz & Fricke Group customers to leverage data from all connected devices and systems to dramatically improve performance and efficiency. This results in significant cost reductions. For users, the system allows them to monitor and manage all devices through a single interface. For example, problems can be localized on a device-specific basis, updates can be performed, or real-time application logs can be displayed.
Round-Tables of the Garz & Fricke Group
The core of the interaction with customers and visitors during the exhibition will be the round table events of the Garz & Fricke Group. This will be the focus topics:
Beyond BSP – what is needed besides an operating system: Our experts address various aspects of the software delivery scope for embedded hardware. Together with you, we ask the question: What does an embedded platform need - today and tomorrow? How can the ideal BSP (Board Support Package) simplify product development? Which technologies or ecosystem of services can help to effectively accompany the lifecycle of a product and increase quality? Look forward to Clemens Terasa, Software Engineer at Garz & Fricke, and Kai Poggensee, CTO of the Garz & Fricke Group.
Expert talk: 50 Shades of Buy: In this panel discussion, our experts Sascha Ullrich (Head of Sales Garz & Fricke) and Charalampos Tzintziras (Sales Manager Keith & Koep) will discuss which questions you should include in your "make or buy" decision. The focus is on the aspects "time-to-market", build-up and use of internal resources and competences as well as development risks when deciding on one of the technological approaches SOM, SBCSOM, SBC and ready-to-use HMI.
Combination of embedded systems and MDB payment systems - possibilities and opportunities of system integration: In this exclusive round table, Matthias Fricke (Founder and Managing Director of Garz & Fricke) and Kay Lemke (Sales Manager Garz & Fricke) give an interesting insight into the topic of combining HMIs and MDB payment systems. They will demonstrate live on devices which interfaces play a central role and how to combine them into an intelligent and flexible system. They will also discuss how efforts in development can be reduced and how the customer's sales experience can be enhanced. Interested customers can also visit the Garz & Fricke profile and talk directly to the experts via chat & video call.
Touch-Screens and Human-Machine-Interaction during Corona and beyond: Dr. Arne Dethlefs (CEO of Garz & Fricke Inc.) discusses with you how the current pandemic and increased hygiene awareness have affected interaction with touch screens. We want to show how the hygienic advantage of touch-screens over traditional buttons and dials can be even increased in a very hygiene sensitive environment and how Garz & Fricke as a full service provider in the field of Human Machine Interfaces can help implement safe solutions.
