Hamburg, 18.02.2020, The HMI and panel PC specialist Garz & Fricke presents numerous innovations at this year's embedded world in hall 2, booth 240. Besides KarL4, a contactless payment system for girocard, the new series of 4.3 inch HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces) of the product families NALLINO and SANTINO LT will be presented in Nuremberg. Furthermore, trade visitors will be shown the DONATIFIER study - a project with complete integration of the contactless payment system KarL4, an HMI from the SANTINO LT family and the application from Garz & Fricke, which was specially designed for use in fundraising campaigns. Garz & Fricke will also be presenting a cross-platform cloud solution with integrated, hardware-based client security at the stand. Furthermore, the latest single board computer TANARO based on the NXP i.MX8M mini processor (ARM Cortex-A53) will be shown.
Contactless payment with KarL4
The new contactless payment terminal by Garz & Fricke is a terminal without PIN pad (TOPP) and enables secure and intuitive payment by girocard without a contact for amounts up to 25 euros. For data transmission, Near Field Communication (NFC) is used. The contactless payment system has already received the necessary approval from the Deutsche Kreditwirtschaft (DK) in 2018.
More processor line & faster graphics for industrial environments
Garz & Fricke has adapted the revised 4.3 inch HMIs for the NALLINO and SANTINO LT families to the latest technological standards. NALLINO was optimized for low power consumption and cost sensitive projects. SANTINO LT was developed by the manufacturer for more demanding UI and UX concepts. The new processors of the current i.MX6 generation bring significant improvements. For the new product series, Garz & Fricke focuses on High Brightness Displays with up to 576 cd/m² and especially interference-immune Projective Capacitive Touchscreens (PCAP).
New Single Board Computer TANARO
The single board computer TANARO uses the NXP i.MX8M mini processor, which meets the high performance requirements of current video, voice and audio processing, including video resolutions up to 1080p and H.265 decoder. In addition to the interfaces designed for industrial conditions, a highlight is the AV interface for connecting camera and microphone. Together with an appropriate software stack, such as TensorFlow for machine learning, TANARO is ideally suited for future customer projects.
Due to the Garz and Fricke Family Concept, together with the Lifecycle Policy, TANARO is available as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) in the Flush Mount, Rear Mount and Panel Mount designs from the seven inch budget version up to the current 32 inch.
Cloud service hosted in Germany
A new cloud solution will also be presented. The Garz & Fricke solution offers the possibility to connect all Garz & Fricke products (clients) to the cloud with a continuous, hardware-based security concept.
In addition to status values, e.g. for route planning or proactive maintenance, the Garz & Fricke Cloud Service can also control content management as well as application/operating system updates.
