Garz & Fricke now supports Google’s Android Version 7.1.1, which is based on the latest porting of NXP for the iMX6 family of processors. Besides a new look & feel, new security updates are of course integrated and the latest programming interfaces can be used (meets API Level 25). The SDKs offered by Garz & Fricke can also be used to communicate with various hardware interfaces under Java such as CAN, UART (RS232), and GIPO. The Flash-N-Go update is of course also supported for enabled devices. Garz & Fricke is currently working on Version 2.0, which will include, among other things, support for WLAN and for the SANTOKA product family.
