The position of CFO was newly created in 2018 following the participation of AFINUM, a Munich-based private equity investor, and initially filled on an interim basis. Now Braun, who already has experience as a CFO as well as in private equity and M&A is taking over the CFO position as scheduled.
Marc-Michael Braun is a business graduate and began his career as an investment manager with the Hamburg-based venture capital investor Neuhaus Partners. This was followed by posts with the CEE private equity fund belonging to Bankhaus Lampe and the company builder Truventuro, where Braun, as a partner and managing director, jointly founded numerous start-up firms and managed them as CFO. Most recently, Braun was Director of M&A and Post-Merger Integration Manager with the publishing house Gruner + Jahr, a subsidiary of the Bertelsmann Group.
As Chief Financial Officer of the Garz & Fricke Group, Marc-Michael Braun is assuming responsibility for the departments of Finance & Accounting, Controlling, Investor Relations, Risk Management, Tax, Legal Affairs, Acquisitions and Human Resources.
